Before obtaining his doctorate in psychology, he obtained a Master of Divinity degree in Seminary and was a former pastor/church planter. He also specializes in comprehensive diagnostic assesments including Autism, ADHD, IQ/cognitive, personality, educational and developmental assessment. Dr. Adams had extensive and broad experience in working with adults and children with depression, anxiety, autism, trauma, OCD, phobias, relationship related issues, and anger.

Furthermore, Dr. Adams has fostered several children over the years and is an adoptive parent of two children. As an adoptive parent, Dr. Adams understands the challenges of raising children with trauma and attachment challenges. He enjoys consulting, leading workshops and facilitating trainings on behavioral management and trauma informed care, As an foster care/adoption expert with Foster Care Kinship Education (FCKE), he does a lot of consulting and training for foster and adoptive parents and professionals.
